Gili Jewels started in the summer of 2008 , a short while after a trip to the beautiful Gili Islands in Indonesia . The locally hand made jewellery was such a success as gifts after returning to the UK that the inspiration to make an echo version of Gili Jewellery was born.
Gili Jewellery is made mainly in Exmouth by me, Bert Wooltorton. I have spent a lot of time traveling in poorer parts of the world over the past few years where I have found some of my favourite accessories and jewellery which have been stunning, quirky and unique creations all at a low price. Strangely I have found that England doesn’t offer such products. My aim is to introduce these styles to the people of the western world at low prices.
